Pragati Insurance PLC one of the leading non-life insurance companies in Bangladesh, has settled an 18 lakh TK car insurance claim following a recent road accident involving its policyholder in Cumilla.
Md Rezaul Karim, adviser of Pragati Insurance PLC handed over the cheque to the deceased's wife as full compensation for the insured value of the damaged vehicle at the insurer's head office in Dhaka, according to a press release.Syed Sehab Ullah Al-Manjur, Managing Director and CEO of Pragati Insurance, Amar Krishna Shil, Chief Financial Officer, Mostaque Ahmed, Head of Claims and a representative of Bank Asia PLC, were also present at the handover ceremony.In addition, policyholder Md Abul Hashem, a senior official of Bank Asia PLC, along with four members of his family, was killed in the accident that took place recently on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway, where the car was completely damaged.
